A water feature performs only as well as the system behind it. At Kusser FountainWorks, mechanical equipment is developed with the same care as the visible structure. More than 20 years of experience in the U.S. market, combined with nearly a century of engineering expertise, shape how hydraulic systems are built, configured, and tested for long-term operation.
Custom-engineered equipment package for the 74-foot water wall at Nashville Yards, integrating pumps, filtration and piping systems to ensure a continuous, uniform flow of water.
Equipment Fabrication
Mechanical equipment assemblies are engineered and built at the Kusser FountainWorks facility in the United States. Pumps, filtration systems, controls, and technical infrastructure are configured to match the hydraulic and architectural demands of each project. Every equipment package is custom-fabricated for its intended application. Equipment layout, service access, and operational requirements are addressed early in the design process, so the system is prepared for integration before it reaches the site. The same approach supports new construction as well as system rebuilds, retrofits, and renovation projects.
Applications
Each of these solutions serves a different purpose within the overall system. Custom equipment vaults are used where service access, structural constraints, and project-specific hydraulic demands need to be resolved within one integrated enclosure. Preassembled equipment skids support faster installation and cleaner site coordination by delivering mechanical assemblies already configured and ready for placement. Reservoir tanks are developed for projects where water volume, system demand, and spatial conditions require a dedicated storage solution. Custom stainless steel fabrication and welding are used where standard components are not enough, especially in projects that call for durable custom details, tight dimensional control, or integration with other architectural and mechanical elements.
Benefits
Project-Specific Configuration
No two water features are alike. Each equipment package is individually engineered to meet the precise performance and site requirements of the project, ensuring a fully integrated and optimized solution.
Integrated System Logic
Every fountain system is engineered holistically, with hydraulic performance, electrical requirements, serviceability, and operational behavior carefully coordinated to create a fully integrated, high-performing solution from the very beginning.
Factory Preparation
Each system undergoes factory assembly and testing prior to shipment, minimizing site-related uncertainties and ensuring a more precise and efficient installation process.
Long-Term Service
Every equipment package is designed with long-term ownership in mind, ensuring straightforward access for maintenance, minimizing downtime, and supporting reliable, efficient performance throughout the life of the fountain system.
Mechanical Continuity
From new fountain systems to complex renovations and retrofits, the same depth of technical knowledge guides every project. Each system is engineered and fabricated based on extensive field experience, ensuring lasting performance and dependable operation.
This interactive fog system at the plaza has a total of three fog pumping stations controlling 114 fog jets with various programmed zones. At the inner circle there are nine individually controlled units choreographed with the outer fog units and interlaced with full color RGBW lighting. The lighting shows offer various themes and effects to correspond with the fog show.
