Waterpark in Arlington, Virginia. Originally constructed in the 1980s, the historic water feature underwent a comprehensive modernization while preserving its signature cascading water wall.

Crystal City Waterpark Renovation | Arlington, Virginia

The renovation included replacement of the complete pumping and mechanical systems, new control panels, energy-efficient LED lighting, and refinishing of the fountain edges and surrounding basin with premium natural granite. Kusser also designed and installed a new interactive fountain using its modular granite system, creating an engaging public water feature that complements the dramatic water wall. Following installation, Kusser programmed the water wall controls, creating dynamic flow sequences that vary across the wall to produce constantly changing patterns and the striking visual effect of cascading white water. Enhanced by a modern lighting system, the renovated Waterpark delivers a vibrant day-to-night experience while extending the life of one of Arlington's most recognizable public spaces.

Warranty & Ongoing Support

For Kusser-built features, support continues beyond installation. Warranty concerns, troubleshooting, and post-warranty questions are handled with direct access to the technical knowledge behind the original project. This continuity makes a difference over time. System behavior can be assessed in the context of how the feature was engineered, built, and commissioned, which allows questions to be resolved more precisely and adjustments to be made with confidence.

Some water features need more than a simple repair. Deteriorating finishes, aging infrastructure, outdated controls, recurring performance issues, or changing technical requirements often make a broader intervention the better long-term solution. Kusser FountainWorks supports rebuilds, retrofits, and renovation projects with the same technical understanding applied to new systems. Existing conditions are assessed carefully, critical components are redesigned or replaced as needed, and new mechanical strategies are developed to restore performance and extend service life.
